What is Tipid?+
Tipid is an iOS budgeting app with on-device AI. You can track expenses, manage budgets, set savings goals, and see where your spending goes, and none of it leaves your device.
How does the AI work?+
Tipid uses Apple’s Foundation Models (Apple Intelligence) to categorize transactions, read natural language input, clean up voice transcriptions, and generate spending insights. All of it runs on your iPhone, with no internet connection, no cloud, and no servers involved. The AI features need iOS 26 or later on a supported device. Without them, Tipid still works; you enter categories yourself.
Is my financial data private?+
Completely. Tipid stores everything on your device. There are no accounts, no cloud sync, no bank sync, and no servers. Your financial data never leaves your phone.
Do I need to connect my bank account?+
No. Tipid never asks for bank credentials. You enter transactions yourself, either by typing or by saying something like “coffee 150 starbucks” and letting the AI fill in the rest.
Do I need an internet connection?+
No. Tipid works entirely offline. Every feature runs on your device, including AI categorization and insights where they are available.
What devices are supported?+
Tipid runs on any iPhone with iOS 17 or later. The AI features (smart categorization, spending insights, voice cleanup, receipt parsing) require iOS 26 on a device that supports Apple Intelligence, meaning iPhone 15 Pro or newer. Everything else, including expense tracking, budgets, goals, accounts, and exports, works on every supported iPhone. There is also an optional Apple Watch companion app.
How much does it cost?+
Tipid is completely free. Unlimited transactions, every AI feature, receipt scanning, and export are all included, with no in-app purchases and no subscription.
Why is it free?+
Because AI runs on your device (zero server cost to us) and there’s no cloud infrastructure to maintain. No servers means no reason to charge you.
Can I export my data?+
Yes. You can export all transactions as CSV or JSON, and generate PDF income and expense statements for any period. The data is yours to take.
What currencies are supported?+
Tipid supports 18+ currencies including PHP, USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, SGD, and more. You can set different currencies per account.
